THE Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation will take to the sea next month for the second annual Jetski Fund Run.
The charity fundraiser was the brainchild of local cancer patient Brian "Unit" Wilson, who wanted to help build a tranquillity room in the oncology ward.
The ride will start at the marina next to Salt House on November 26 and travel to Fitzroy Island for a free barbecue before the return journey.
Money raised from the event will go towards the tranquillity room, which aims to provide a sanctuary for cancer patients and their families at Cairns Base Hospital.
Riders pay $60 to enter and each rider needs to raise $200 for the cause.
