The marina industry in Melbourne is constantly improving with the likes of the transformation of Docklands and the development of new facilities such as Queenscliff, the destination for boaters is on the rise which is something that has been lacking in the past.

Still awhile to go before Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay is comparable to that of Sydney Harbour and Adelaide etc but they are making inroads.
Currently there are many developments both approved and pending to be built around the bay which is making many boat and yacht users excited about the future for weekend getaways and day sails.
Frankston Marina is set for a 80 million dollar revamp and is to include 300 wet berths, 400 dry berths, at least 30 public wet berths, a 60-unit motel and 600 car spaces.
Wyndam Harbour located just 30 mins west of Melbourne CBD will feature state-of-the-art marina facilities, luxury waterfront homes, shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment. Ultimately hold up to 1000 vessels and dry boat storage for up to 390 boats.
Rippleside Quay will offer 180 premium floating berths in two harbours located in the sheltered waters of Corio Bay. Set to incorporate a day-spa, coffee shop, home offices, gourmet deli, wine cellar and its own restaurant.
With these amazing developments to be started over the next 1-2 years there is definitely good times ahead.
Add these marinas to the current selection of newly built mooring facilties such as Victoria Harbour Marina, Water Front City, Martha Cove and the upgraded Queenscliff Harbour creates a wide variety of moorings sites along with the long established marinas adds to a bright future for the Melbourne boating industry.
